History of Eikon

The workshop, since its founding in 1993, has been focused on target group of clients from SPR facilities, former drug addicts who are currently not active drug users.  

Main characteristic of our clients is loss of work habits and skills, self-fulfilment in job, inability to succeed in the free labour market without help.

Occupational therapy programmes in the workshops of the Eikón centre:

• Short-term activating programme aimed to keep habits and skills
• Long-term programme for creating and development of work habits and skills

Our offering

• manual work in sheltered environment without drugs
• reward from 50 CZK to 65 CZK for an hour
• working time 5 hours a day, four days a week
• individual approach to clients
• approach aiming to acquire and renew working habits
• help to find a job in the open labour market
• possibility of every day advance payment

Mission of the wokrshop

The workshop is dedicated to former drug addict people to help them to abstain from drugs.

Job definition and products

Our main products are immitations of religious icons and other commemorative things that are made of wood in a joinery workshop. Handicraft work with wood.
