The service is intended for:

• Drug users outside the network of existing services
• Particularly, intravenous risk users
• Particularly, users of opiates, stimulants, and volatile substances
• Young, recreational drug users
• Those who need after-care in their natural environment after having finished treatment or having started to abstain
• Counselling is also provided to family members, friends, partners

Information is provided to the public.

Main Goal

The main goal of the service is to improve the situation of drug users, to prevent infectious diseases and their spreading. The aim is to prevent deterioration of health and social situation of drug users that significantly threaten their chances in life. The aim is to establish a balanced and efficient approach to the drug problem in the region.

Main Principle

The main principle is immediacy, public availability, low threshold entry, active client search, non-discriminatory approach, maintaining the client's anonymity. Openness and co-operation with other services. The form of a particular service is discussed individually with the client, including the conditions necessary for its success or termination.

Service Offer:

• Contact work and counselling in the drop-in room and in the field, including short-term case management (individual, family, partnership)
• Basic counselling, syringe exchange and other medical material
• Crisis intervention
• Assistance with basic medical treatment
• Social help - in the form of modern social work (counselling, assistance), basic support in the form of food and hygienic aid
• Work with imprisoned clients
• Continuing client support after finishing treatment
• Streetwork programme in Znojmo
• Programme to provide information on this topic to the public
• Assisted employment programme
