I.E.S. Center has been operating since 2000 as one of the activities of Sdružení Podané ruce. The educational facility came to existence due to the call for improved quality of services in the field of drug addictions, due to wide public interest in facts and information, and last but not least, due to the need of assistance in establishing new centers and planning their supervision.

The Educational Center I.E.S. currently offers wide range of services in the field of educating and providing information on drug-related problems. These are courses, professional training focused on practical skills, workshops and conferences intended both for workers from the centers, communities and charity organizations who work directly with drug-addicts, and for social workers, psychologists, teachers, labor office employees and policemen. We offer a basic overview of the field to workers who carry out the anti-drug policy in the civil service.

The majority of the courses are certified with the Ministry of Education.

The center has a long-term collaboration with foreign organizations, such as Cranstoun Drug Services London, John Moors University London, Centro Italiani di Solitery, Balvárosi Tanoda, and participates in several international programs.
